Red Sea State has announced a comprehensive curfew for citizens and vehicles in Port Sudan from Monday to June 18.

Accordingly, the state decided to suspend all government and private institutions and banks in Port Sudan and grant employees leave during the ban period.

It also decided to ban collective prayers and gatherings outside homes, to cancel occasion permits and to stop petrol stations. This is in addition to prohibiting the opening of shops and restaurants, and the total closure of the large market in Port Sudan, and preventing the decision to move between localities of the state.

The death rates witnessed a remarkable increase in the city of Port Sudan, especially among the elderly during the past days, while the Red Sea State recorded the highest rate of coronavirus infection during yesterday, which was 16 confirmed cases, bringing the total number of cumulative infections since the inception of the corona in the country to 38 cases.
